Time flies – 2025 is already 10 days old, and many already completed their first workweek of the new year!
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the past year:
On January 1, 2024, Arist Volger took over responsibility for the operational processes at SwissIX as Business Development Manager, succeeding Luzi von Salis, who had managed these responsibilities ad interim before on a mandate basis.
For SwissIX, 2024 marked the first full calendar year following a significant transformation – technical and organizational. The platform’s technology was completely revamped and technical operations were fully outsourced as well.
Over the course of 2024, the technology from Nokia and the collaboration model proved to be both reliable and highly promising for the future.
Traffic at SwissIX showed remarkable growth in 2024, increasing by approximately 20% compared to the previous year – both in average and peak values.

2024 also saw positive financial developments: While financial metrics aren’t the primary focus of a non-profit organization like SwissIX, maintaining a healthy balance between costs and revenue is essential. This is particularly true given the investments made in platform upgrades, capacity expansions, and as well the associated increase in operational costs.
